Interior Insights: Brooke Wagner Design

This edition of our Interior Insights series showcases a beautifully refined home by Brooke Wagner Design located in Holladay, Utah.

From the pantry to the powder room, explore the signature layered aesthetic of Brooke Wagner Design, which is interwoven with timeworn textures, timeless materials and handcrafted pieces throughout.

The Living Room

Serene and sophisticated, a coastal colour palette decorates the formal living room with a harmony of muted tones adding depth to the warm white walls. Complemented by natural details in wood and rattan, the space is impeccably styled to create a peaceful sanctuary for the homeowners to relax morning, noon and night.

Jessica Signore, Project Manager at Brooke Wagner Design, shares, “As a studio standard, we typically lean toward neutral foundations in our designs and then layer in accents. We continue this method throughout all of our homes, which creates continuity from room to room."

The Games Room

Offering a rich contrast to the formal living room, a vision of classic teal forms an atmospheric backdrop in the games room. Opting for neutral and textured shelf styling and soft furnishings lightens the space and adds a relaxed, lived-in feel.

The Kitchen

Modern and welcoming, the kitchen features shaker-style cabinetry surrounding an elongated kitchen island, perfect for daily dining and entertaining. Presenting fresh simplicity, the kitchen is a calming palette married with materials and finishes chosen for their durability and design longevity.

Sharing her approach to choosing cabinet hardware, Jessica says, “A number of factors are taken into account when selecting hardware, but functionality is always first. For example, if we have a wider-sized drawer for heavy pots and pans in a kitchen, we gravitate toward a sturdier pull versus a knob.”

A traditional range is often at the heart of many kitchens and for this open-plan design, the exquisite appliance brings an understated two-tone style to the cabinets. Accents of the colour can be seen elsewhere in the interior creating a balanced and refined look.

Neatly arranged to reflect the purpose of the space, styled shelving remains a design statement in timeless homes, with the shelves elevated by a luxurious marble backdrop throughout this kitchen design.

The Pantry

Brimming with petite design elements to bring character to the surrounding joinery, the pantry flows organically from the kitchen aesthetic. A delicately patterned wallpaper offers depth, whilst the miniature marble backsplash provides visual appeal and anchors the overall look.

The Laundry Room

Marrying tones of mocha for the tiles with duck egg cabinetry, the contemporary classic laundry room evokes an air of tranquillity. For the styling of the space, it's a less-is-more affair, where functional laundry room staples like wicker baskets also serve as decorative elements.

Jessica notes, “We selected different variations of brass to complement nearby decorative light fixtures or as an accent to the piece they were installed on.”

The Master Bathroom

The spacious primary bathroom sets the mood for pure relaxation. Embracing a warm neutral palette with a feminine touch, our luxurious Colmore hardware complements the lavish marble counters whilst adding understate elegance to adorn the vanity cabinetry.

The Powder Room

A bold marble vanity counter presents a captivating centrepiece in this stylish powder room interior. Paired with a dark wooden frame, the tone of the drawers balances out the statement appeal of the marble, with radiant elongated brass pull handles completing the decor.

Jessica shares, “Each hardware selection was specific to surrounding furnishings and textiles. For example, in the main powder room, our vision was very formal. With an integrated sink and floating vanity, we wanted substantial hardware that would make a statement.”
