2024 Moments

2024 Moments

As we look back on 2024, we celebrate twelve months of memorable moments.

It's been an incredible year for Armac Martin, from showcasing our exciting new brand identity to introducing our debut collection of bathroom accessories, in addition to our first collection of solid bronze cabinet hardware. Read on to revisit our favourite moments...

95 years of Armac Martin

This year, we celebrated a poignant anniversary - and to mark the occasion, we showcased our new brand identity.

Honouring 95 years since our story began and embracing the start of a significant new chapter, our refreshed logo and branding represent our passion and commitment to continuously innovate and evolve whilst still nurturing our treasured heritage and craft.

With a distinct focus on crafting pieces ‘for the defining details', as part of our rebrand we also created a more elegant and intuitive categorisation of our luxury brass hardware and accessories collections.

We introduced three overarching categories, Signature, Speciality and Luxe, to make it effortless to identify styles and price points, resulting in a simplified framework to specify our portfolio of collections and finishes.

Introducing our new finishes

As part of our commitment to continuously offering the most exquisite range of design choices, we were delighted to introduce four new brass finishes to our portfolio at the beginning of the year.

Our new additions including Aged copper (AGC), Dark aged brass (DAB ), Fine English antique (FEA), and Dark bronze (DBZ), all of which are living and will develop a beautiful patina as they age.

Introducing Loop

Marrying elegant curves with minimal design, in April we were delighted to introduce our Loop collection of expertly crafted solid brass surface mounted and mortised cabinet handles, in addition to cabinet knobs.

The collection is available in our full portfolio of finishes and a range of sizes to add fluid appeal to all types of joinery.

The arrival of bathroom accessories

Our portfolio of solid brass interior accessories evolved this summer with our debut collection of timeless bathroom accessories.

Imagined to dress luxurious bathrooms and transform the most functional pieces into a design detail with everlasting style, we welcomed the arrival of brass towel rails, toilet roll holders and robe hooks to our MIX, Cotswold and Claremont collections.

Neptune x Armac Martin

Throughout the summer we also proudly partnered with the wonderful Neptune Home to create Oscott, a collection of cabinet hardware inspired by a classic bar handle with traditional ball joints.

Oscott is exclusively available to Neptune customers when purchasing one of their exquisite solid wood kitchens.

Anti Copying in Design

Towards the end of the year we became a member of Anti Copying In Design (ACID) to support their invaluable work in ensuring the protection of original designs throughout the UK manufacturing industry. Our CEO, Richard McGrail, also signed ACID's IP Charter, a Code of Conduct that upholds ethics and compliance in design.

We have been creating our own unique designs since 1929, and we are extremely proud to craft our authentic pieces at our headquarters in Birmingham, which are expertly polished and finished by hand.

Marking a new Bronze age

Capturing the superlative beauty of a material renowned for its strength since antiquity, we ended our year with the launch of Bronze.

Presenting a step back to our 1920s heritage, when bronze castings were once fashioned in our factory, our bronze designs draw on fine art and embrace skilled lost wax casting techniques to create captivating pieces of hardware with intricately detailed textures.

Wonderful awards

This year we are extremely proud to have won and been named finalists in a range of high profile industry awards:

September: Our Cocktail collection of cabinet hardware was named as a finalist in the Society of British & International Interior Design (SBID) as part of the Product of the Year category.

October: We also won the Hardware category for this year's Kitchen & Bath Business Awards for our Cocktail collection, with the judges 'loving the style, easiness and adaptation of the collection to major market trends'.

November: As part of our attendance at WestEdge Design Fair in Santa Monica we were delighted to be awards a Product Design Award by the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) for our MIX Bathroom Accessories.

December: Our decadent solid brass cabinet hardware collection, Cocktail, was named a Honoree in this year's Interior Design Magazine Best of Year Awards.
